PLATE OF GOODNESS COOK BOOK LAUNCH @ ALBA NOOSA

We extend a heartfelt thank you to all our guests who attended the
Plates Of Goodness cookbook launch at ALBA Noosa.

The event was a remarkable celebration of community, hope, and charity!

Hosted by Christine Mount from Luxe Coastal Property Buyers, the day brought together three local businesses, including Jonette Wilton from Sunday Press and Peter Kuruvita from Alba Noosa. Together they aim to raise funds for the Sri Lankan charity, Foundation of Goodness, which provides much-needed support to vulnerable villages throughout Sri Lanka.

For Sunshine Coast Buyers Agent Christine Mount, this charity holds a special place in her heart. Having volunteered for the Foundation of Goodness some years back, Christine felt compelled to extend help from Australia during the recent political upheaval and financial crisis, partnering with Jonette and Peter to make a difference.

The event was a tremendous success, with over 100 attendees coming together to support
both causes. Guests enjoyed a delicious 5-Pot Curry Banquet featuring plant-based recipes
from the newly released Plates of Goodness cookbook, which showcases recipes from some of
Australia’s finest Sri Lankan chefs, including Noosa’s own Peter Kuruvita!

We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and guests, we
raised $1100 for the QCWA to support vulnerable women in our community through our raffle. We also raised over $1750 for the Foundation of Goodness, contributing to their vital work in supporting villages across Sri Lanka.

All proceeds raised will go to the Foundation of Goodness’ Village Heartbeat Empowerment Centres, which have been integral in empowering local villages from Jaffna at the northernmost tip to Seenigama in the south. Supporting essential projects including providing dry rations and groceries to food-insecure families who have not been able to access daily meals.

We are deeply grateful for the support and enthusiasm shown by everyone involved. Together, we are making a positive impact and bringing hope to communities in need.
Thank you for being a part of this meaningful journey.
