The Sunshine Coast consists of the Shire of Noosa and the Sunshine Coast Council, with a population of just under 400,000 people across 130 suburbs.

The region boasts lush, dramatic landscapes and more than one hundred kilometres of stunning coastline from Golden Beach in the south to Teewah Beach in the north. Our soft sandy beaches are some of the world’s most beautiful. They’re the foundation of our enviable, laid-back lifestyle, along with the magnificent, unspoilt hinterland of Maleny, Eumundi, Doonan, Bli Bli, Kin Kin and Ponoma.

The Sunshine Coast is much more than a holiday destination. We have a vibrant, growing economy supported by domestic and international connectivity. From a property viewpoint, the region has powerful demand drivers coupled with limited supply, making it one of Australia’s strongest performing markets for capital growth and rental returns.

The economic fundamentals for growth in the Sunshine Coast suburbs were well established pre-covid. The technological shift enabling remote working was already well underway. The global pandemic has simply accelerated this long term structural change, revolutionizing how we live and work. Regional locations can now offer everything humans inherently crave – connection, community and a relaxed lifestyle.

“In 2021, regional areas exceeded migration growth to capital cities. In fact, the pandemic compelled a reverse in the trend of growing cities. The population of the Gold Coast increased by 4% in one year, the Sunshine Coast had an increase of 7%, while Noosa grew by an unprecedented 22%!  Offering all the sophistication of an urban life in a regional setting, we expect Noosa and surrounds to continue to be at the forefront of growth trends as they outperform major cities.” Jennifer Swaine (Non Executive Director, Visit Sunshine Coast Corporate (in Noosa Magazine)
